Under general supervision, the Accountant 2, provides support to more experienced personnel by performing routine accounting assignments, moderately difficult in nature, requiring a broad knowledge of accounting theory and principles.

What You Can Expect:

  • Provides financial support including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining accounting policies and fiscal controls, and preparing financial reports.
  • Assists with the organization’s budgeting and financial reporting process for the purpose of improving financial performance and efficiency.
  • Assists department leaders on variances from budget/actual.
  • Provides functional and technical direction to other staff members.
  • Provides technical support to outside auditors and governmental program auditors, as requested.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree
  • Experience: Two (2) years' relevant experience
