As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will play an important role in supporting providers and patients through a variety of clinical duties while helping ensure efficient clinic operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building patient relationships, thrives in a team-based setting, and takes pride in delivering exceptional care.


What you can expect from this role:

Schedule: Four 9-hour shifts per week with Tuesdays off.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for provider visits by obtaining health histories, vital signs, and other relevant clinical information.
  • Perform clinical duties including injections, EKGs, and point-of-care testing such as urinalysis, flu, COVID-19, and strep testing.
  • Assist providers with patient care activities, procedures, and care coordination while maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Support efficient patient flow, communicate effectively with patients and care team members, and help ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment while adhering to safety, quality, and infection prevention standards.


CMA Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Certifications

  • Current BLS-CPR Certification from the American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant from one of the following: NCCT, NAHP, AMT, AAMA, AMCA, or NHA
