Description & Requirements

St. Luke’s is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our Perioperative team in Wood River. This role combines direct patient care with unit clerk responsibilities, playing a key part in ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical experience for patients and care teams. New Grads encouraged to apply!

Schedule
Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
No nights or weekends

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and maintain patient charts, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate
  • Obtain and document vital signs pre- and post-operatively
  • Assist with post-operative care, including IV removal and monitoring patient status
  • Support point-of-care testing as needed
  • Assist with patient mobility, including safe patient handling and use of lifts
  • Turn over rooms efficiently to support patient flow
  • Stock supplies and maintain a clean, organized, and well-prepared unit

Qualifications

  • Current CNA certification required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required
