What to Expect:

St. Luke’s Children and Adult Specialty Research (CASR) encompasses a wide range of adult and pediatric trials in endocrine diseases, cystic fibrosis (CF), and pulmonary conditions across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

This Manager-level position provides leadership and oversight for a team of six research professionals and a portfolio of approximately 30 active clinical studies. The role operates within a larger research department that conducts and oversees approximately 280 clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas. The manager works in close collaboration with physician investigators, research leaders and teams, and interdepartmental leaders to ensure the successful execution of studies, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Candidates should be available for occasional weekend hours based on staff/study needs and flexible to support both inpatient (floor and ICU) and outpatient research. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, values variety, and fosters strong collaboration across teams.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains system-wide procedures for clinical research in collaboration with principal investigators.
  • Oversees work of Clinical Research staff ensuring timely and accurate completion of duties.
  • Provides leadership in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a clinical research training, education and orientation program.
  • Serves as a clinical resource for institutional leadership and investigators related to the ethical conduct of human subjects clinical research.
  • Ensures the availability of trained research personnel essential in meeting staffing and other resource needs.
  • Directs internal audits and leads response to site visits from external organizations.
  • Develops and manages departmental budget.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: 5 years' experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
