Description & Requirements

The Director of Surgical Services at our Boise hospital is more than a nursing leadership role. It’s an opportunity to lead one of the most advanced and high-performing surgical programs in the region. Reporting to the CNO, this strategic role will drive innovation, elevate patient outcomes, and lead a highly skilled team delivering life-changing care every day.


Our Boise surgical services department is a fast-paced, highly complex environment performing 17,000+ procedures annually across a wide range of specialties—from general surgery to highly specialized fields like cardiac, neurosurgery, oncology, robotics, and pediatric trauma.

Oversight includes multi-disciplinary team of 6 direct reports and more than 300 total staff, spanning:

  • 21 Operating Rooms
  • 1 Surgery Center
  • Pre-Op Holding Area (POHA)
  • Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
  • Sterile Processing

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSN
  • 10 years’ relevant experience (ie, progressive leadership responsibility, oversight of complex surgical environments, etc)
  • RN license Idaho
