IHT Strategy & Enablement Intern: Business Operations

Position Overview:
Healthcare is rapidly evolving and there is an opportunity to revolutionize the way that we deliver care and support our workforce. The Business Operations Intern will support the IHT Strategy & Enablement team by contributing to core business operations initiatives, including financial performance reporting, operational analytics, and dashboard development. This role works closely with Business Operations leaders, Senior IT Leaders, and other cross functional partners to help define key performance indicators, document reporting structures, and support the development and validation of Financial dashboards for executive, leader, and department audiences.
Designed for an undergraduate or graduate student, this internship provides hands-on experience in healthcare business operations, project coordination, and emerging technologies while offering meaningful exposure to cross‑functional collaboration and strategic enablement work within the organization.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain hands-on experience in healthcare business operations by supporting strategy, reporting, and operational initiatives within the IHT organization.
- Develop data and analytics skills by helping define KPIs and supporting the creation and validation of Financial and other operational dashboards.
- Strengthen business communication and documentation skills through collaboration with Business Operations leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Build professional and technical competencies including critical thinking, project coordination, and teamwork in a real-world enterprise environment.
Opportunities:
- Contribute to financial reporting and operational analytics that support real business decisions.
- Gain hands-on experience building and validating Financial Dashboard requirements with Business Operations leaders and partners.
- Collaborate with Business Operations leaders to define KPIs and reporting needs.
- Build exposure to enterprise strategy, enablement work, and cross‑functional project teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate college or university program with a focus on Business Operations Management, Information Technology Management, Financial Technology (FinTech), or Financial Operations and Technology background is preferred, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
