Medication Assistance Specialist

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a Medication Assistance Specialist.
These roles help patients access and afford essential medications by securing financial assistance and navigating insurance requirements. You’ll collaborate with providers, payers, and internal teams to remove barriers to medication access.
Based on-site, this position focuses on reducing patients’ prescription costs by identifying and obtaining support through manufacturer programs, charitable foundations, grants, and St. Luke’s Foundation funds.
Our Medication Assistance Specialist responsibilities include:
- Medication Assist Team (On-Site):
Help patients reduce out-of-pocket costs by identifying and securing support through manufacturer programs and St. Luke’s Foundation funds. - Identify and enroll patients in medication assistance programs.
- Collaborate with St. Luke’s Foundation to access internal financial support.
- Conduct insurance and financial reviews.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and third-party payers
What to expect:
Location: St. Luke’s Plaza Boise
Hours: Full-time/ 40 hours week
Schedule: M-F, no weekends, no holidays!
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician Registration
- 3+ years of experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
