At St. Luke’s, our dedicated team of Nurse Navigators are critical in providing exceptional, patient-centered care. We are currently hiring for a Part Time Nurse Navigator for Breast Care Services!
What You Can Expect:
- The Nurse Navigator acts as a guide and liaison for patients undergoing breast biopsies to provide support and guidance through potential breast cancer diagnosis and across the cancer care continuum, including the various modalities used to treat cancer.
- Acts as a resource and support person and guides patients and their families through the complex treatment process for breast cancer.
- Serves as a liaison between the patient and their family and the patient's network of care providers.
- Provides patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.
- Assists the patient in ensuring referrals to appropriate specialities are completed, and patient appointments are scheduled and timely.
- Provides resources for interdisciplinary support with other health care professionals, such as social work, physical therapy, dietitians.
Schedule: 8 hour shifts, variable weekdays between 0730-5p.
Remote role; occasional onsite care.
Qualifications:
- Education: Nursing Degree
- Experience: 2 years' of RN experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with oncology care, oncologic surgical care/breast imaging
