This role ensures cases are scheduled in accordance with provider preferences, organizational policies, and procedural requirements while maintaining the integrity of the operating room schedule.

The Surgery Scheduler works closely with providers and clinic teams to gather and verify required information, confirm case details, and resolve scheduling issues, demonstrating excellent customer service in all interactions with clinic staff and, for a subset of appointments, patients directly. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and clear, professional communication in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Shift details: ~Monday-Friday 8am-6pm (subject to change based on departmental needs). We currently have both full-time and part-time positions available!

What you can expect from this role:

  • Manage various schedules.
  • Utilize multiple technologies, applications, and tools to support scheduling and departmental workflows.
  • Support limited patient communication for certain appointments.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills by identifying scheduling conflicts, evaluating options, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all scheduling activities.
  • Collaborate closely with providers, clinics, and operating room teams.
  • Serve as a role model, mentor, trainer and/or resource to coworkers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Minimum qualifications for this role:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-year relevant experience.
