Patient Access Specialist 2 – Surgery Scheduler

St. Luke’s Health System is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to accurately and efficiently schedule surgical procedures with a focus on patient access and efficient use of resources. This role works closely with providers and clinic teams to gather required information, verify case details, and ensure surgeries are scheduled according to provider preferences and organizational guidelines.

 

This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, strong problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with clinic staff and—for a small portion of appointments—patients directly.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule surgical procedures accurately and timely
  • Confirm and verify case details with providers and clinic staff
  • Maintain the integrity of the operating room schedule
  • Provide excellent customer service in all interactions
  • Support limited patient communication for certain appointments
  • Work closely with providers, clinics, and operating room teams.
