Description & Requirements
At St. Luke’s, we pride ourselves on fostering a workplace culture that values diversity, promotes collaboration, and prioritizes employee well-being. Our commitment to excellence in patient care extends to creating an environment where our team can thrive both personally and professionally. With opportunities for growth, competitive benefits, and a supportive community of colleagues, St. Luke’s is truly a great place to work.
We are seeking a highly organized, service-minded Triage Paralegal 1 to join our Legal Department. In this dynamic role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for legal questions and requests from across the health system—including nurses, physicians, operational leaders, and other professionals. You'll help bring clarity to complex issues, gather critical information, and ensure legal inquiries are efficiently routed and resolved.
What You Can Expect
Every day is different in this fast-paced role:
- You'll manage intake and triage of legal inquiries through phone, email, and online systems, helping clinical and operational teams navigate questions related to patient care, contracts, subpoenas, employment matters, and other legal needs.
- You'll partner closely with attorneys and legal professionals to move matters toward resolution, track deadlines and workflows, support reporting and metrics, and assist with a limited number of contracts and legal documents.
Success in this role requires someone who enjoys organizing large amounts of information, prioritizing competing requests, and providing exceptional service while maintaining professionalism and good judgment.
Requirements
- Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or two (2) years’ relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Preferred Requirements
- Prior paralegal experience, preferably in healthcare, compliance, legal, risk management, or another regulated environment.
- Experience serving as a primary point of contact, triaging requests, or managing high-volume intake processes.
