Pharmacy Technician - Medication Assistance Specialist – Hybrid!

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a Medication Assistance Specialist to support our Infusion and Clinic‑Administered Medication (CAM) programs. This is a unique role for a Pharmacy Technician who enjoys problem‑solving, patient advocacy, and working closely with clinical teams to remove barriers to care.

Medication Assistance Specialist responsibilities include:
- Serve as a primary resource for providers and care teams by guiding them through assistance processes for infusion and clinic‑administered medications.
- Identify, evaluate, and coordinate patient enrollment in both internal and external medication assistance programs.
- Support patients by helping minimize out‑of‑pocket costs and ensuring timely access to essential therapies.
- Coordinate the shipment of free drug to St. Luke’s care sites, ensuring accurate documentation, timely delivery, and appropriate billing workflows.
- Act as a liaison between patients, providers, revenue cycle teams, and manufacturers to streamline communication and reduce barriers to care.
What to expect:
Location: St. Luke’s Plaza Boise
Hours: Full-time/ 40 hours week – Hybrid eligible after initial training period
Schedule: M-F, no weekends, no holidays!
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician Registration
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ Years of Pharmacy Technician experience – Infusion or Specialty experience is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to navigate complex processes with accuracy and attention to detail
- EPIC platform, Microsoft Office and Excel experience
- Understanding or Patient Assistance Programs for free medications.
