Registered Nurse – Lactation Patient Educator

Are you passionate about helping new parents achieve their breastfeeding goals? Join our Maternal Child Health team as a Lactation Patient Educator RN and make a meaningful impact on the lives of mothers, infants, and families every day.
As part of our non-profit health system, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based lactation education and support while partnering with nurses, providers, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive maternal and newborn outcomes. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who enjoys patient education, coaching, and building lasting relationships with families during one of life's most important milestones.
What You'll Do
- Provide individualized breastfeeding assessment, education, and hands-on support for expectant and postpartum patients.
- Develop personalized feeding plans that promote successful breastfeeding and infant nutrition.
- Educate families on breastfeeding techniques, pumping, milk storage, supplementation, and common lactation concerns.
- Identify and address breastfeeding challenges using evidence-based practices.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
- Experience: 0 years
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
Preferred:
- Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) or other lactation certification.
- Experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, Pediatrics, or Women's Services.
- Previous lactation consultation or breastfeeding education experience.
Schedule: Day's, Evenings and some weekends
