Description & Requirements

We're hiring a Part-Time (0.8 FTE) Registered Nurse at the Children's Neurology Clinic located in Boise at the Children's Pavilion!

 

What You Can Expect:


  • Patient Assessment and Intake
    • Collect vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, O2, respirations) and document patient history, medications, symptoms, and clinical concerns accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Clinical Care and Procedures
    • Perform basic clinical tasks. May include: preparing and administering medications, giving injections, or assisting with procedures as directed by the provider.
  •  Care Coordination and Communication
    • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams. Coordinate patient care including insurance prior authorizations, telephone triage, relaying test results, and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Patient Education and Support
    • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and treatment instructions, ensuring understanding and adherence.
  • Compliance and Safety Standards
    • Maintain infection control protocols, ensure proper documentation, and adhere to clinic policies, regulatory standards, and patient confidentiality requirements (HIPAA).


You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team of neurology providers and nurses to care for a chronic pediatric population, including children with epilepsy, developmental delays, genetic disorders, migraines, tics, and other neurological conditions.

 

Schedule: 8:00a - 4:30p, 8 week day shifts per pay period. Variable scheduled days off.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Nursing Degree
  • Experience: 1 years' experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
