Position Summary

The Simulation Clinical Educator is responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of simulation-based education programs across the region. This role supports clinical staff development, enhances patient safety, and promotes evidence-based practice through immersive learning experiences. The educator collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to identify learning needs and deliver high-impact simulation training that improves clinical competence and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate simulation-based training for clinical staff across multiple service lines (e.g., acute care, ambulatory, surgical services, emergency services).
  • Design realistic, evidence-based simulation scenarios aligned with organizational priorities, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Lead pre-briefing, simulation facilitation, and structured debriefing sessions to enhance clinical reasoning, teamwork, and communication.
  • Partner with clinical leaders, educators, and quality teams to identify learning gaps and implement targeted simulation interventions.
  • Support onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing professional development through simulation.
  • Maintain and operate simulation equipment, mannequins, and related technology.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using data, feedback, and outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and support regulatory readiness activities.
  • Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for simulation-based education across the region. 

 Qualifications:

  •  Education: Degree from an accredited program - Audiologist (Idaho), Physical Therapist, Occupational Theripist or Speech Lanuage Pathologist
  •  Experience: 2 years relevant experience
  •  Previous Clinical Educator experience preferred
  •  Previous Simulation training with different modalities preferred
  •  Licenses/Certifications: Valid license to practice audiology, physical, occupational or speech therapy in state of practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross. ACLS and PALS preferred
