St. Luke's Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Systems Analyst 2 to join our Finance Information Systems (Finance IS) team.
Under limited/moderate supervision, the System Analyst 2 reviews business requirements, analyzes and evaluates existing and/or proposed systems and designs and develops IT system solutions in response.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
- Help facilitate and guide on-going CSC and Finance application (Tecsys / Infor) upgrades and improvement activities
- Translate business requirements into actionable enhancement requests and coordinate testing and deployment.
- Serve as a liaison between CSC, AP, other Finance, and IHT, improving communication and reducing misalignment.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to proactively identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Drive business process improvement and redesign efforts to reduce manual work and increase system reliability.
General Duties/Responsibilities:
- Build, configure, and program applications to meet user requirements for new and optimized workflows in designated software applications and systems.
- Implement new software applications and systems, performs upgrades consistent with project plan(s), technical specifications, and operations requirements of the health system. Provide proactive remediation of potential issues.
- Tests and validates software applications and systems to ensure proper operation, implementation of software design and end-user acceptance
- Identify and diagnose issues that arise in the supported application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and work to resolve them. Assess severity of issues and prioritize responses as appropriate.
- Communicates impacts, opportunities, and progress to key stakeholders.
- Coordinates work efforts with vendor(s), other applications teams, and key stakeholders. Maintains awareness of vendor and industry development/plans in area(s) of responsibility.
- Ensures documentation is provided for support, end user training and testing/validation. May provide implementation support with end users.
- Follows established protocols in the execution of all activities to ensure the safety and security of information system assets, processes, and data.
- Possesses working knowledge in impacted areas. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree
- Experience: 2 years relevant experience
- Licenses/Certifications: None
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the Tecsys application
- Working knowledge of the Infor application
- General understanding of finance operations
- General understanding of Supply Chain and Warehousing operations
- Business Process Improvement (BPI) and Re-engineering (BPR) – Lean 6 sigma certified
- Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
