Description & Requirements

At St. Luke’s Cardiology Clinic, our dedicated team of Medical Assistants supports a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care. We are currently seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to serve as a key member of the clinic leadership team, supporting clinical operations, mentoring staff, and helping drive continuous improvement.

 

What you can expect from this role

  • Work a schedule of 0700–1730, four days per week, with a floating day off during the week
  • Partner with the Clinic Supervisor to support clinic flow improvement processes and daily operations
  • Serve as a clinical resource, role model, and support for Medical Assistants, fostering a positive and team-focused culture
  • Act as the clinic SMART board champion, ensuring clear communication and team engagement
  • Balance administrative responsibilities while remaining primarily clinic-based (approximately 85% clinic / 15% administrative)
  • Support workflow optimization, problem-solving, and efficiency to enhance patient care and clinic performance
  • Participate as a member of the clinic leadership team, contributing to operational and team success

 

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • 2 years' experience

Certifications

  • Current BLS-CPR Certification from the American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant from one of the following: NCCT, NAHP, AMT, AAMA, AMCA, or NHA
