Senior Systems Analyst (Level 4) – Modern Workplace Services
Location: Boise, ID (Hybrid eligible)
Department: Information Technology – Modern Workplace Services
Position Summary
The Senior Systems Analyst (Level 4) is a lead customer engagement and business analysis partner. This role works with customers to understand challenges they face and translate those needs into clear, actionable business requirements. With a high degree of autonomy, the Senior Systems Analyst partners closely with business, clinical, and IT stakeholders to turn customer requirements into scalable, secure, and well-governed digital solutions that enhance customer workflows and promote modern digital processes across the health system.
This position proactively identifies opportunities within the business environment, manages new requests from intake to delivery, and ensures stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the engagement. After go-live, this role will conduct post-implementation reviews to assess adoption, evaluate outcomes, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Serving as both a senior systems analyst and team lead, this position guides work prioritization, mentor’s analysts, and drives process improvement initiatives across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, emerging AI technology, and related enterprise applications. With broad influence across multiple platforms, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality, user-friendly solutions that directly address customer needs. By delivering user-friendly solutions and supporting customers through change, the Senior Systems Analyst drives adoption and successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Delivery
- Review, analyze, and translate complex business and clinical requirements into effective technical solutions across enterprise applications and platforms.
- In partnership with peer teams, translate business requirements and coordinate solution design and delivery across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, CoPilot Agents, and modern workplace solutions.
- Leads cross-platform design coordination, managing cross-team dependencies for configuration, implementation, upgrades, and ongoing support of production systems with enterprise-wide impact within modern workplace solutions.
Application Support & Optimization
- Perform testing and validation activities, including system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure solutions meet design and operational requirements.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of the organization’s current technology tech stack and advise business stakeholders on the most effective use of existing platforms and capabilities.
Workflow & Business Analysis
- Analyze workflows and their relationship to the technical environments in which they operate.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify needs, document processes, and define functional and non‑functional requirements for complex systems.
Project & Change Leadership
- Assist in developing and executing engagement project plans, schedules, and milestones using project management principles.
- Participate in work prioritization with leaders and stakeholders to balance demand, risk, and strategic value.
- Drive change management for system enhancements and platform updates, ensuring end user readiness and adoption.
Documentation, Training & Governance
- Ensure comprehensive documentation is created and maintained for system support, end user training, and testing/validation.
- Follow established security, privacy, and compliance protocols to safeguard information system assets and data.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Handle the most complex issues and initiatives across multiple platforms.
- Coach, mentor, and guide other analysts; provide expert advice and support skill development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience as a systems or business analyst supporting enterprise applications in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated expertise translating business needs into functional requirements and partnering with engineers/developers to deliver solutions across modern workplace or enterprise productivity platforms.
- Strong experience with requirements management, workflow analysis, testing, and deployment to implementation support activities.
- Proven ability to lead work efforts, mentor others, and influence without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or highly regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience using and supporting Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or similar enterprise collaboration and workflow platforms.
- Familiarity with agile delivery methods and formal project management practices (intake, backlog management, stakeholder communication, and delivery coordination).
- Experience leading analyst teams or serving in a lead capacity.
