What You Can Expect:

-This an Idaho Licensed Journeyman Plumber role (Must have valid and current Idaho Journeyman Plumber License)

-Schedule will include weekends

-Boise work location


The Skilled Trades Technician 3, under minimal supervision, is responsible for maintaining and repairing facilities, buildings, and equipment for the organization. Ensures compliance with company policies as well as applicable state and federal regulations.
Plumber:
The Maintenance Plumber inspects, installs, repairs and replaces pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
• Assembles pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
• Fills pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observes pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
• Caulks leaks and opens clogged drains. Installs sinks, showers, toilets, water heaters and related plumbing fixtures.
• Reviews blueprints and building codes and specification to determine work details and procedures.

- Under minimal supervision, performs repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities, equipment, fixtures, and systems.
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains facility systems.
- Performs work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules.
- Reviews work as required to document specific needs (materials, supplies, instructions, etc.).
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Reviews services requests for repairs and maintenance, determines nature of problem, and recommends appropriate solution.
- Coordinates the day-to-day operations of a group of employees.
- Coordinates work with outside contractors.
- Assures code and building standards are met.
- Serves as a trainer, lead or subject matter expert. Acts as first point of escalation. May participate in interview, training and onboarding process. May participate in performance improvement initiatives as needed.
- Reveals mastery of advanced duties of a specialized/technical nature.
- Encounters diverse problems that require thorough analysis.
- Serves as a resources to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 4 years of experience in area of specialization.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License AND must hold a Journeyman License in one of the following areas: Plumbing

 

This role is subject to St. Luke's driving policy, which requires individuals in this role to not have a record of certain driving-related offenses within the past three (3) years, including but not limited to: Suspension of LicenseDriving Under the Influence, Reckless or Negligent Driving... 

If hired, St. Luke's will conduct a driving records check upon hire and continuously thereafter for individuals hired into this role. Individuals will be required to maintain a valid, current driver's license.
