Description & Requirements
The Manager Patient Access 1 is responsible for leadership and oversight of assigned area of Patient Access operations, setting priorities and overall direction. Scope: Manages a single function. Typically, responsible for less than 40 FTE’s.
- Provides guidance to the work unit and advises leadership on issues related to their area of responsibility.
- Influences, maintains and oversees compliance of policies and guidelines.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives by driving efficient processes, improved tools and optimal system and process structures.
- Oversees the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs.
- Assists in the development, implementation, direction, and coordination of policies and programs consistent with the system mission, vision and values.
- May coordinate and supervise the design and implementation of clinical and business information systems and other computer software applications.
- Applies intermediate level of knowledge within professional discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines. Under limited oversight, relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine best approach to achieve desired outcomes.
- Leads a team of Patient Access professionals by identifying talent providing performance and development opportunities.
- Sets priorities and direction to achieve departmental priorities and key metrics through direct report and stakeholder engagement.
- Actively manages budget and goal setting for assigned area.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Education: Associates degree or experience in lieu of degree
- Experience: 5 years relevant experience
