Position Summary

The Inventory Pharmacy Technician (Willow/EPIC) is responsible for supporting accurate medication inventory, purchasing workflows, and daily operational efficiency within EPIC. This role ensures accurate medication tracking, timely receipt of products, and proactive troubleshooting of inventory discrepancies that directly impact patient care, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Accurate EPIC Inventory

Perform daily inventory cleanup, troubleshoot discrepancies, resolve negative balances, and ensure accurate item setup and maintenance.

  • Execute Cycle Counts & Monitor Expirations

Conduct routine cycle counts, correct inventory variances, and proactively manage expiring and short-dated medications.

  • Receive & Reconcile Pharmacy Inventory

Accurately receive, scan, and verify incoming orders (ABC/Cencora, direct shipments), ensuring proper lot/expiration tracking and stock rotation.

  • Support Purchasing & Inventory Optimization

Partner with buyers to manage backorders, substitutions, returns, PAR adjustments, and overall inventory utilization.

  • Drive Compliance, Reporting & Process Improvement

Run EPIC inventory reports, support vaccine and regulatory workflows (e.g., 340B, IRIS), and identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency

What You Can Expect:

  • Location:Boise Inpatient Pharmacy
  • Schedule/Hours:Full time40 hoursper week
  • May be eligible forcertification pay for PTCB Adv. Certification; preceptor pay
  • Learn and expand your pharmacy skills with opportunities to advance into leadership and pharmacy business positions

Qualifications

  • 2+ YearsofPharmacy Experience
  • Inventory management preferred 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Idaho pharmacy technician License 
  • AT least one yearof Infusion making experience 

PreferredQualifications

  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
  • CPhT
