Description & Requirements

The Account Manager 2 serves as the primary representative and liaison for the Health Plan’s individual and other line of business, responsible for developing and executing plans to grow business in assigned areas to support improved health outcomes for employees and dependents. Responsible for securing, building, and sustaining positive long-term relationships with defined client base (key purchasers), internal stakeholders, brokers/consultants, and vendors. In addition to strategic account management responsibilities, this role supports key operational functions including broker administration, commission coordination, CRM management, escalation resolution, stakeholder communications and cross-functional process improvement initiatives.


 Duties/Responsibilities:
 - Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers. Identifies and develops new sales opportunities. 
 - Solicits, develops, and maintains favorable contracts with all potential managed care accounts in the assigned area. Tracks contract renewal dates and terms. Consults with the client to arrive at renewal agreements securing and growing the accounts revenue. 
 - Forecasts and achieves OKR (objectives and key results) targets, to meet Health Plan targets. 
 - Proactively identifies and implements ways to grow the business. Demonstrates expertise in the Health Plan’s products, services, and offerings including the market dynamics for the area they service. Informs internal stakeholders on new opportunities or threats. 
 - Negotiates relationships and processes with internal customers to create efficiencies and identify opportunities for sales, product, and operational growth. 
 - Tracks deliverables against contracts to ensure all contracted obligations and terms are being satisfied. 
 - Works with relevant stakeholders (employers, brokers, internal partners, etc.) to assist in creation of sales proposals and renewals. 
 - Represent the Health Plan at employer events, community events, and functions. -Participates in community business events to stay connected and informed.
 - Ensures client satisfaction through personal interactions or surveys. Reviews and determines reasons for clients who discontinue/end their services and provide recommendations for resolving issues in the future. 
 - Collaborates with senior leadership on implementation of business plan strategies, goals, objectives, and outcomes. Tasked with retention and growth in Health Plan service and program offerings. 
 - Gathers insights from purchasers and informs Health Plan on potential new products and services. Solves difficult problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels. Nature of work requires independence, especially with regards to tactical execution & daily production. 
 - Makes decisions that produce effective results under moderate conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete/conflicting information. 
 - Maintains relevant account and stakeholder information in Health Plan’s client relationship management tool. Assists in creation of accurate reporting supporting Plan OKRs. 
 - Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree 
 - Experience: 3 years relevant experience 
 - Licenses/Certifications: None
